Deep inside this forest, barely visible, stands a solitary figure. Most viewers miss him at first. That is entirely intentional. Chandrashekhar believes that great landscapes should make the human presence feel earned, not imposed. The arching trees, the warm earth, the green light tunnelling toward the unknown — this is a painting about the courage of going forward when you cannot yet see what lies ahead.
